My name is Salman, let me tell you about my journey with dreadlocks, I was inspired by the character Capt. Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. I had really silky hair, and after they grew long it got harder to manage and I started having a lot of hair fall. I always kept trying new and different hairstyles and was looking forward to try dreadlocks. I started learning about it, realizing that it would be a good option for me. A friend suggested to me that i grow dreads naturally i.e. without combing. Growing dreads naturally takes a lot of time and i got impatient. I started back combing (another way of getting dreads), but it wasn't as neat. I checked if there was a place to get this done in Hyderabad but couldn't find any. I found out that they charge 8000 rs. - 15000 rs. in Goa and Bangalore to lock the entire hair. Since i am an artist and had experience in hairstyling i decided I'll do it myself. I found out about the needling method, and started locking my own hair. and slowly over a period of 8 months, I completed locking all of my hair, due to the tightening of the loose strands, my hair line receded a bit but my hair fall reduced drastically. Now my hair is denser than it used to be. I thought I could help others who were looking for something like this for a reasonable price and posted it online.

One requires a minimum length of 3 inches to lock hair. Dreads look better when longer, hence it would be best if your hair is at least shoulder length. All your hair can be locked into fine strands of dreads in just five sittings of three hours each. Any and all types of hair with the right length can be locked.
