Simply not combing your hair isn't enough to get nice dreads

It is true that not combing hair leads to tangled hair which lock up naturally. Which is a method of getting dreads called the neglect method. In many cultures it is required that the wearer never comb his/ her hair. But the neglect method alone is not enough to get nice dreads. Most of the dreads with this method come out uneven. Also since the process takes time, one might actually loose interest and cut their hair. There are better and faster ways of doing dreads.

The process we use to make dreads is the needling/ crochet method. This is a way of using a needle with a hook at it's tip to weave a few strands together. Interlocking them from root to tip so that they never open. Hair locked with this method doesn't open on washing your hair.

Dreads require constant tightening as they grow, for this we use the knotting method, stitching method and crochet method.
